Estimate & repair terms

These terms apply to every estimate, repair authorization and invoice from Mikalyzed Garage LLC. When you approve an estimate, you agree to them.

An estimate is not a final invoice

An estimate is based upon the information reasonably available at the time of inspection and/or diagnosis. Unless expressly stated as a fixed price, estimated parts, labor, materials, subcontracted services, taxes, shipping, fabrication, machine work, shop supplies and other charges may change if additional conditions, damage, required repairs, parts, labor or services are discovered.

No additional repair work requiring customer authorization will be performed beyond the amount permitted by applicable Florida law without the customer’s authorization.

Diagnosis and hidden conditions

Vehicle repairs, restorations, modifications and custom fabrication may reveal conditions that could not reasonably be identified before disassembly, diagnosis or commencement of work, including but not limited to corrosion, rust, previous repairs, accident damage, electrical issues, wiring modifications, structural damage, worn components, seized hardware, incompatible aftermarket components, concealed mechanical defects and additional parts or labor requirements.

If additional work or expense requires customer authorization under applicable law, Mikalyzed Garage will contact the customer before proceeding.

Customer understands that diagnostic and teardown labor already performed, together with applicable reassembly charges, may remain payable if the customer elects not to proceed, provided such charges were properly disclosed and authorized.

Custom, performance and modified vehicles

Customer acknowledges that aftermarket, custom, restoration, performance, suspension, air-suspension, wheel/tire, drivetrain, engine, exhaust, electrical, fabrication and other non-OEM modifications may alter the vehicle’s original characteristics, including ride quality, handling, noise, vibration, ground clearance, alignment, tire wear, reliability, service intervals, emissions compliance, manufacturer warranties and component life.

Custom fabrication and modified vehicle work may require adjustment, refinement or additional work after initial installation. Unless specifically stated in writing, an estimate does not constitute a representation that a modified vehicle will perform identically to an original-production vehicle.

Mikalyzed Garage does not guarantee that an aftermarket modification will preserve any manufacturer’s warranty. The customer is responsible for determining the effect of modifications on any manufacturer, dealer or third-party warranty.

Customer-supplied parts

When Mikalyzed Garage agrees to install customer-supplied parts, the customer assumes responsibility for the selection, compatibility, condition, completeness and manufacturer’s warranty of those parts.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, Mikalyzed Garage does not warrant customer-supplied parts and is not responsible for additional labor or expense caused by defective, incorrect, incomplete or incompatible customer-supplied components. Any warranty on Mikalyzed Garage’s installation labor shall be only as specifically stated on the repair order or invoice.

Parts availability and pricing

Parts prices and availability are subject to supplier availability and may change before an order is placed. Special-order, custom-manufactured, fabricated, painted, powder-coated, upholstered, programmed or otherwise customer-specific parts may require deposits and may be noncancelable or nonreturnable once ordered or production has begun, subject to applicable law and supplier policies.

Shipping, freight, duties, expedited shipping and similar charges may be added when disclosed and authorized as required.

Completion dates

Any completion date is a good-faith estimate unless Mikalyzed Garage expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Completion may be affected by parts availability, shipping, subcontractors, fabrication, machine work, discovery of additional conditions, manufacturer delays and circumstances outside Mikalyzed Garage’s reasonable control.

Subcontracted services

Certain specialized services may be performed by qualified third parties, including machining, alignment, tuning, upholstery, paint/body work, powder coating, wheel repair, electronics, calibration or specialized fabrication. Any subcontracting will be handled in accordance with applicable law and customer authorization requirements.

Road testing and vehicle operation

Customer authorizes Mikalyzed Garage and its employees or authorized contractors to operate and road-test the vehicle when reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair, calibration, quality-control testing, transportation between authorized service providers or verification of completed work.

Personal property

Customers should remove cash, valuables and personal belongings before leaving a vehicle for service. Mikalyzed Garage is not responsible for loss of personal property left in a vehicle except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

Warranty

Any warranty applicable to the work performed will be stated on the final invoice or applicable repair documentation, including the applicable time and/or mileage period.

Unless specifically stated in writing, no additional warranty is provided beyond applicable manufacturer warranties and any warranty expressly identified by Mikalyzed Garage.

Warranty coverage does not extend to unrelated failures or, to the extent permitted by law, failures caused by abuse, misuse, racing/competition use, accidents, improper maintenance, unauthorized alteration, customer-supplied defective components, or subsequent work performed by others.

Nothing in these terms eliminates or limits rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be waived.

Replaced parts

If you want replaced parts saved for inspection or return, tell the shop when you authorize the work. Return of replaced parts is subject to applicable law and may not be available where a part must be returned to a manufacturer, distributor or supplier under a warranty, exchange or core program.

Storage

After the customer has been notified that repairs are complete and the vehicle is available for pickup, storage charges may apply at the daily rate the shop discloses to you. Storage charges will not begin earlier than permitted by Florida law.

Payment

Unless other arrangements have been approved in writing, payment is due upon completion of the authorized work and before release of the vehicle, subject to applicable law.

Special-order parts, fabrication and substantial custom projects may require deposits or progress payments as stated on the estimate or work order.

Authorization

By signing or otherwise authorizing a repair order in a manner permitted by law, including by approving an estimate through the link we text you, customer confirms that the requested work has been accurately identified, acknowledges receipt of the applicable estimate and disclosures, and authorizes Mikalyzed Garage to perform the work specifically authorized by the customer.

This authorization does not constitute a waiver of any rights that cannot lawfully be waived under the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Act or other applicable law.

Final invoice

The services, labor and parts identified on an invoice reflect the work performed and supplied by Mikalyzed Garage. Any applicable warranty is limited to the warranty specifically identified on the invoice or accompanying warranty documentation, subject to applicable law.

Aftermarket or custom modifications may alter a vehicle’s original ride, handling, noise, vibration, ground clearance, alignment, tire wear, performance, reliability, service requirements, emissions characteristics and/or manufacturer warranty coverage.

Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Mikalyzed Garage unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. Any installation warranty applicable to customer-supplied components is limited to the terms expressly stated on the invoice.

Customer acknowledges that recommendations for additional maintenance or repairs may have been made separately from the work completed on an invoice. Payment of an invoice does not constitute a waiver of any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
